Community Residential (Supported Living and Group Homes) helps people with developmental disabilities live in the community, providing support with medical and mental health care, finances, transportation, household, and personal needs.  We support individuals with the same level of care as those residing in Residential Habilitation Centers (RHC’s) and State Operated Living Alternatives (SOLA).

Services *

Costs *

  • Supported Living – average cost per client per day = $335.90
  • SOLA – average cost per client per day = $579.60  73% more expensive than Supported Living
  • RHC – average cost per client per day = $888.68  165% more expensive than Supported Living

Indirect Client Support (ICS)/Administrative

The indirect Client Support and Transportation rates have not increased for 14 years and over that period of time, Cost of Living has increased by 32.9% and CPI has increased by 29.5%.

Professional Service Rates

Professional Service Rates for nurses have not increased for 14 years, while over that same period funding for other nursing rates within DSHS services have received rate increases ranging from 28.3% to 37.5%.

Budget

  • July 1, 2009 budget cuts
    • Benchmark cut by 3% (Decreases funding for staff wages and benefits by $.46 to $.49 per hour)
